When you ship a vehicle from the United States to Puerto Rico, it’s necessary to go to the local Department of Motor Vehicles or through its application CESCO Digital and complete the registration process to be able to drive legally. The purpose of this is having documents that validate the personal data of the driver and owner of said transport. With a registered vehicle, the owner will be in possession of the property title.
What happens when one does not have the vehicle title?
If the vehicle is not in your name, you do not have authorization to drive the roads and highways of Puerto Rico. If the vehicle title exists but is lost, a duplicate can be requested.
